Monitor 4EC Radiation Detector

Energy‑Compensated Radiation Survey Meter

The Radiation Alert® Monitor 4EC is an ergonomic, energy‑compensated radiation survey meter designed for accurate and reliable radiation monitoring across a wide range of applications. It detects alpha, beta, gamma, and X‑ray radiation over three selectable measurement ranges, providing versatile coverage for general radiation surveys and safety inspections.

Energy‑Compensated, Linear Gamma Response

The Monitor 4EC offers a linear response for gamma and X‑ray radiation above 40 keV, ensuring dependable dose‑rate measurements across varying energy levels. Its energy‑compensated design improves accuracy when monitoring gamma and X‑ray sources, making it suitable for professional radiation safety and compliance use.

Simple, Ergonomic Operation

Built for ease of use, the Monitor 4EC features an ergonomic design with clear, intuitive feedback. A red count indicator light flashes and an audible beep sounds with each detected event, providing immediate visual and audible confirmation of radiation levels during surveys.

Applications & Uses

Checking accelerator & x-ray shielding for leakage, Checking industrial gauges, such as moisture, density, or level gauges containing Cesium-137, Locating sources, Personal protection, General surveying

What Our Clients Say

Ron Ulbrich, Geiger Counter Pro

“The Radiation Alert Ranger® is a great value for those looking for a modern Geiger counter. I found that is simple to use yet includes many advanced functions if and when you want them without obstructing the simplicity…”

Judson Kenoyer, CHP, CIH

“I have used the Monitor 4 in courses that I teach radiation safety for close to 8 years. The students love it and affectionately call it the “Batman unit” because of its use in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. It is light-weight, sensitive, and quite often out performs some of the more expensive units from other companies that we use in a lab exercise…”

Neil Breslow, NDT Supply

“NDT Supply has been working with SE International since we started business in 2000. We have found them to be easy to work with, and a very reliable and responsive supplier. Questions and issues are always handled promptly and with a smile…”
