Area Monitor 1×1

The Radiation Alert® Area Monitor is a modern, network‑ready radiation area monitoring system designed for continuous radiation surveillance in facilities, laboratories, and high‑traffic environments. Known for its intuitive operation and comprehensive feature set, it is one of the most user‑friendly and all‑inclusive radiation area monitors available.

Intuitive Touchscreen Interface

The system features an intelligent resistive touchscreen display with a large five‑digit LED readout, providing clear, real‑time radiation measurements that are easy to view at a distance. The straightforward interface allows users to configure alarms, review system status, and manage settings quickly.

Flexible Detector Options

The Area Monitor 1X1 is available with either:

  • An internal Sodium Iodide (NaI) scintillation detector, or
  • An external NaI scintillation detector

Cesium Iodide (CsI) probes are also available, allowing the system to be configured for specific monitoring requirements and radiation environments.

Designed for Facility & High‑Traffic Use

Rugged wall‑mount enclosure options are available, making the Radiation Alert® Area Monitor suitable for hallways, controlled access points, laboratories, and other high‑traffic areas where continuous monitoring is required.

Network Monitoring & Alerts

All Radiation Alert® Area Monitors on a network can be monitored using free included software, providing centralized visibility and control. The system supports:

  • User‑selectable low and high radiation alarm levels
  • Detector failure warnings
  • Email and text message alerts for remote notification

All configuration settings are stored internally and retained even when power is disconnected, ensuring consistent operation after power restoration.

Calibration & Compliance

Each Radiation Alert® Area Monitor is supplied with a Certificate of Conformance. NIST‑traceable source calibrations are available upon request, supporting quality assurance and regulatory compliance requirements.

Internal or External Probe Options Available.

What Our Clients Say

Ron Ulbrich, Geiger Counter Pro

“The Radiation Alert Ranger® is a great value for those looking for a modern Geiger counter. I found that is simple to use yet includes many advanced functions if and when you want them without obstructing the simplicity…”

Judson Kenoyer, CHP, CIH

“I have used the Monitor 4 in courses that I teach radiation safety for close to 8 years. The students love it and affectionately call it the “Batman unit” because of its use in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. It is light-weight, sensitive, and quite often out performs some of the more expensive units from other companies that we use in a lab exercise…”

Neil Breslow, NDT Supply

“NDT Supply has been working with SE International since we started business in 2000. We have found them to be easy to work with, and a very reliable and responsive supplier. Questions and issues are always handled promptly and with a smile…”
