Radiation Alert® Frisker Contamination Detector

Compact Handheld Radiation Contamination Monitor

The Radiation Alert® Frisker is a compact, lightweight handheld radiation contamination detector designed for professionals who need hands‑free, single‑handed operation without the burden of cables or bulky survey meters. Engineered for efficiency and ease of use, the Frisker provides reliable radiation detection in a highly portable form.

Comprehensive Radiation Detection

The Radiation Alert® Frisker detects alpha, beta, gamma, and X‑ray radiation, making it suitable for a wide range of contamination and screening applications. Multiple selectable units of measure, along with customizable alarm levels, allow users to adapt the instrument to specific operational and safety requirements.

Ergonomic, One‑Handed Design

Purpose‑built for modern radiation monitoring workflows, the Frisker is a single‑handed, ergonomic radiation instrument that allows users to keep one hand free while conducting surveys. Its backlit digital display ensures clear visibility in low‑light environments, while audible alarms provide immediate notification of elevated radiation levels.

Reliable Detection Technology

The Radiation Alert® Frisker integrates advanced electronics with a dependable Geiger‑Mueller detector, delivering consistent performance across diverse radiological environments. Built for durability, it is well‑suited for frequent use in both controlled facilities and field conditions.

Common Applications

The Radiation Alert® Frisker is ideal for:

  • Leak testing
  • Surface contamination monitoring
  • Sample screening
  • Personnel screening
  • General radiation safety inspections

Applications & Uses

Screening personnel and objects, such as packages, surfaces, and clothing, Surveying for NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material) contamination, Gross wipe counting, Contamination surveys of packages, equipment, people, etc., Regulatory inspections, Low energy radionuclide detection

What Our Clients Say

Ron Ulbrich, Geiger Counter Pro

“The Radiation Alert Ranger® is a great value for those looking for a modern Geiger counter. I found that is simple to use yet includes many advanced functions if and when you want them without obstructing the simplicity…”

Judson Kenoyer, CHP, CIH

“I have used the Monitor 4 in courses that I teach radiation safety for close to 8 years. The students love it and affectionately call it the “Batman unit” because of its use in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. It is light-weight, sensitive, and quite often out performs some of the more expensive units from other companies that we use in a lab exercise…”

Neil Breslow, NDT Supply

“NDT Supply has been working with SE International since we started business in 2000. We have found them to be easy to work with, and a very reliable and responsive supplier. Questions and issues are always handled promptly and with a smile…”
