Radiation Alert® GammaView

Advanced Gamma Radiation Survey Meter with SCA Capability

The GammaView is an advanced gamma radiation survey meter designed for accurate, real‑time radiation monitoring in laboratory, industrial, and field environments. Its user‑friendly interface includes a backlit digital display, red count indicator light, and a distinctive audible beeper that signals each detected event, providing immediate visual and audible feedback to support rapid response to changing radiation levels.

Customizable operating features—such as selectable alarm thresholds and an adjustable timer—allow the GammaView to be tailored to specific operational, safety, or analytical requirements. This flexibility makes it suitable for both routine radiation monitoring and more specialized measurement tasks.

Single‑Channel Analyzer (SCA) Functionality

In addition to standard survey operation, the GammaView functions as a single‑channel analyzer (SCA). This capability allows users to set a defined energy “window” within the gamma spectrum, enabling the instrument to focus on a specific gamma energy range while excluding unwanted signals.

By narrowing the detection window, the SCA function reduces background count rates, improves measurement selectivity, and enhances the ability to identify or monitor specific gamma‑emitting sources in complex radiation environments.

Averaging Periods

Display updates every 3 seconds. At low background
levels, the update is the average for the past 30-second time
period. The timed period for the average decreases as the
radiation level increases.

Anti-Saturation

Meter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times
the maximum reading.

What Our Clients Say

Ron Ulbrich, Geiger Counter Pro

“The Radiation Alert Ranger® is a great value for those looking for a modern Geiger counter. I found that is simple to use yet includes many advanced functions if and when you want them without obstructing the simplicity…”

Judson Kenoyer, CHP, CIH

“I have used the Monitor 4 in courses that I teach radiation safety for close to 8 years. The students love it and affectionately call it the “Batman unit” because of its use in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. It is light-weight, sensitive, and quite often out performs some of the more expensive units from other companies that we use in a lab exercise…”

Neil Breslow, NDT Supply

“NDT Supply has been working with SE International since we started business in 2000. We have found them to be easy to work with, and a very reliable and responsive supplier. Questions and issues are always handled promptly and with a smile…”
