Area Monitor 7128

The Radiation Alert® Area Monitor is a modern, network‑ready radiation area monitoring system designed for continuous radiation surveillance in laboratories, medical facilities, industrial sites, and other controlled environments. Known for its intuitive operation and comprehensive feature set, it combines ease of use with advanced monitoring capabilities.

Intuitive Touchscreen Interface

The system features an intelligent resistive touchscreen display with a large five‑digit LED readout, providing clear, real‑time radiation measurements that are easily visible from a distance. The simple interface allows users to configure alarms, review system status, and manage settings with minimal training.

Flexible Detector & Network Monitoring Options

The Radiation Alert® Area Monitor is available with either an internal or external radiation detector, allowing configuration based on installation requirements. Free included monitoring software enables centralized oversight of all Radiation Alert® Area Monitors on a network, supporting scalable facility‑wide monitoring.

Alarms, Notifications & Data Retention

The system supports user‑selectable low and high radiation alarm thresholds, as well as detector failure warnings, helping ensure timely response to changing conditions. Users can configure email and text message alerts to receive notifications remotely while on the go.

All system settings are stored internally and retained even when power is disconnected, ensuring reliable operation and consistent configuration after power restoration.

Calibration & Compliance

Each unit is supplied with a Certificate of Conformance, supporting quality assurance and documentation requirements. NIST‑traceable source calibrations are available upon request for applications requiring traceable calibration standards.

What Our Clients Say

Ron Ulbrich, Geiger Counter Pro

“The Radiation Alert Ranger® is a great value for those looking for a modern Geiger counter. I found that is simple to use yet includes many advanced functions if and when you want them without obstructing the simplicity…”

Judson Kenoyer, CHP, CIH

“I have used the Monitor 4 in courses that I teach radiation safety for close to 8 years. The students love it and affectionately call it the “Batman unit” because of its use in the movie The Dark Knight Rises. It is light-weight, sensitive, and quite often out performs some of the more expensive units from other companies that we use in a lab exercise…”

Neil Breslow, NDT Supply

“NDT Supply has been working with SE International since we started business in 2000. We have found them to be easy to work with, and a very reliable and responsive supplier. Questions and issues are always handled promptly and with a smile…”
